Becky's Cabbage Salad
Step one:
Toast 1/3 cup sesame seeds (I used black and white ones), 1/3 cup pinenuts and 1/3 cup slivered almonds.
Step two:
Chop one head cabbage
Step three: (not shown) heat 1/2 cup soy sauce with 2 teaspoons sugar until sugar dissolves. Mix with 1/2 cup olive oil. Shake. (This is too much dressing, so you can use half now and half the next time you make the salad.)
Step four: Toss the dressing over the other ingredients. Let sit for about an hour before serving, and add a few drops of sesame oil immediately prior to serving.
It's light and crunchy and delicious.
