Winter's Remnants

Even the dead looked good drenched in today's sunlight--a true testament to the power of Spring:

Proof of Spring

This afternoon I caught a bad case of spring fever--no overtime for me. I went on a hunt for proof that winter is on its way out, and I believe the evidence speaks for itself:

Heavy Metal

These were taken on Jackson Street, near King Street Station. It's part of (what I assume are) the original iron railings along the sidwalks of the overpass.

(You know I can't just walk past thick, peeling paint like this without getting some shots of the abstract art that it's become.)

Nothing More To Say

I liked this "graffiti" that was pasted onto the side of a mail dropbox in Pioneer Square.

Uwajimaya/Kinokuniya Bookstore

Yesterday, I went to one of my favorite places: Uwajimaya. And somehow, I was able to go there without spending more than six dollars...probably because my backpack was so full of camera equipment so there wasn't much room for groceries.

Happy Valentine's Day

A few weeks ago, I made a bunch of paper hearts to hang over the coffee table for the holiday. Here they are staged for hanging:

Swan Song

After brunch on Sunday, we went for a drive. We stopped in at the Fall City Cemetery to say hello to Granny and Aunt Mickey and then we went past Remlinger Farms, where there were lot of swans and geese making quite a racket out in the field. Dave was kind enough to pull over so I could "shoot some birds."

I had to do something to kill time while we waited (far too long) for breakfast on Sunday.

I'm not sure what this move is all about... Scratching? Stretching? Drying off?

Another Bird

I have no idea what kind of bird this guy is, but I thought he was pretty handsome and--an added bonus--not camera shy.

More Birds

There were all kinds of birds out yesterday.

Amidst all of the greys yesterday, I did manage to find some color.

Dreamy

OK, I admit it: I tweaked this photo, but I like the result. This was a tree full of robins just off Admiral and 64th.
